Cobar, NSW - Green PCI PyroChar

Pyrochar Plant - Net Carbon Zero PCI - Green Steel Making

Pyrochar Pty Ltd is thrilled to announce its latest project, a net-zero carbon site in Cobar, NSW. The site will have a production capacity of 30,000 tonnes of Pyrochar.

Our Pyrochar site will be converting local biowaste into net-zero carbon, which has the potential to replace fossil-fuelled coal in the production process of steel making. This will result in a substantial reduction in carbon emissions, making it an eco-friendly solution for the steelmaking industry.

We at Pyrochar Pty Ltd are committed to developing sustainable solutions for the industry, and we are excited to lead this groundbreaking project. The site is expected to commence construction shortly, with operations beginning in the near future.

The Greenest and Most Efficient Carbon Globally

Using a three-times patented technology developed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), the Self Sustaining Pyrolysis produces a fossil-free, Net Zero source of carbon (PyroChar) for highly efficient metal production.

Our PyroChar has been tested & used in Electric Arc furnaces for Steel production, Blast Furnaces for Steel production, and Magnesium refining.

Our unique, patented Self Sustaining Pyrolysis was initially developed by the CSIRO, Australia’s National Science Agency.
Pyrochar has exclusive rights and ownership to develop this technology globally.

Pyrochar is currently working with wholesale & institutional investors who are aligned with decarbonisation, and green impact investing.

We welcome conversations with environmentally aligned and socially positive investors.

“Engineers and scientists are working around the clock on how to decarbonize cement, steel, and plastics; shipping, trucking, and aviation; agriculture, energy, and construction. I believe the decarbonizing of the global economy is going to create the greatest investment opportunity of our lifetime.”
