1000 tonne - Large Scale Pilot Facility

Pyrochar Pty Ltd is pleased to announce the deployment of our fully operational initial pilot facility in Notting Hill, Vic, which will produce up to 1000 tons per annum of Net Zero Carbon (PyroChar). This facility will primarily be used for R&D and testing of new products.

This plant is constantly testing new types of biowaste for use in metallurgic applications. This plant serves as an important step towards Pyrochar’s larger vision and will pave the way for the development of many of our future green coal alternatives.

This plant allowed the initial CSIRO technology to have a significant first-mover advantage in the biochar industry as the only metallurgical grade biochar technology proven to have reached Technology Readiness Level 7 (TRL7) and is ready for commercial scale.

The Greenest and Most Efficient Carbon Globally

Using a three-times patented technology developed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), the Self Sustaining Pyrolysis produces a fossil-free, Net Zero source of carbon (PyroChar) for highly efficient metal production.

Our PyroChar has been tested & used in Electric Arc furnaces for Steel production, Blast Furnaces for Steel production, and Magnesium refining.

Technology

Our unique, patented Self Sustaining Pyrolysis was initially developed by the CSIRO, Australia’s National Science Agency.

Pyrochar has exclusive rights and ownership to develop this technology globally.
